During this module I was an Education and School reporter for local area media outlet. The role involved attending weekly newsrooms and conducting research interviews and creating a multimedia piece once a week. My Enhanced DBS check certificate allowed me to work with schools and interview children under 11 whilst navigating gatekeepers and UK media law. Over the course of the module, I created five multimedia pieces and gained experience operating in a newsroom environment and applying my knowledge to a practical publication.
